Electrical Customer Care & Testing Engineer

Watkins is a family-owned MEP Sub Contractor based in London and the Southeast, the company has been trading for over 60 years.

We are currently looking to recruit an additional Electrical Testing Engineer to carry out a split role working both on site and with our expanding customer care team. The ratio will be split subject to work requirements.


  • Field based, you will be carrying out inspections, fault finding, repair & maintenance works in customers’ homes throughout London & the Southeast.
  • This is a permanent, full time employed position for a professional, confident and motivated individual.


  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence
  • Qualified to 18th Edition
  • City & Guilds 2391 Testing & Inspection
  • Heating Controls experience including fault finding
  • ECS Gold Card

The Individual

  • You will have experience working in occupied domestic households, commercial properties and show exceptional customer service skills.
  • You will have excellent technical knowledge and a keen interest in learning about new technologies & equipment.
  • You will be able to write detailed IT based reports of findings, and work in a methodical manner.
  • You will ideally have had some experience of working on commercial projects
